If you see or read anything on dA that absolutely awes you, please consider suggesting the piece for a DD feature. FAQ #18: Who selects Daily Deviations and how are they chosen?

First and foremost, I want to give a hearty thank you to all of my watchers, readers, viewers - for whatever component of what I do that you find yourself looking toward my account, I appreciate you taking the time.

Projects You Should Know About

Across the site there are a lot of projects going on at all times. I would, of course, encourage anyone and everyone to get involved.

  1. IndigoSummerr has an "Under 200 watchers" feature that she accepts suggestions for via :note:.
  2. UszatyArbuz posts a feature weekly at CrazySquad for "you and a friend" (or just two pieces from two different deviants) which is also a themed feature. Suggestions are accepted in the comments of the current week for the following week.
  3. Phreja has started a "Feature Friday" journal where you can submit one of your pieces and one of a friend's (or just a friend's) via :note: to be included.
  4. dAWishingWell has a few features that may be of interest: Tuseday Treats (a themed feature) which is posted weekly; and The Treasure Chest, which is part of "The WishingWell Weekly" and features suggested pieces with under 299 faves.
  5. DistortedSmile accepts suggestions for the fella 10x10 feature theme via :note:.
  6. STelari accepts suggestions for the "(-404) Deviant Found" features via :note:.
  7. Riemea hosts an "I Love You Love" themed feature at deviantHEART bi-weekly. Suggestions for a theme can be sent via :note:.
  8. PaperbackRevelations hosts a weekly feature, as noted here. Feel free to send a :note: with suggestions!

I'm sure there are many more projects across the site - these are but a few I've found in the last two months that are marvelous and uplifting, and in my opinion help to spread the :dalove:.

In other news, someone I have known for a long while recently passed away. This may mean that I'm slow on writing new pieces for some time - that is what it meant for last month, when combined with the medical problems I've been having. While I won't bore you with the details, I am going to have to undergo a second surgery, probably at some point this month, so please do be patient with me if you leave a comment and are waiting on a response.

This also means that I'm slow on returning llamas right now - please don't take it personally. I will eventually get to them all.

So, having said all of the above, these are the prompts for this month (and I'm having to rebuild my list, so expect another journal for my "To do" list):

:bulletgreen:Monthly Challenge 101: sci-fi prompt
:bulletgreen:Damselstock's challenge: The leprechaun
:bulletgreen:Literary Fan Ficion's 02/27-03/06 prompt
:bulletgreen:The Writer's Meow's Bi-weekly prompt: 02/22-03/08
:bulletgreen:At the End of the Rainbow Contest due 03/17
:bulletgreen:OC Challenge Prompt: Magnolia due 03/20
:bulletgreen:Between Worlds Contest due 04/02
:bulletgreen:Short Story Contest, 1st Quarter due 03/07.

Now, for those of you who like to find new people to stalk watch, I'm going to present to you SolBrandz who is very eclectic (something that appeals to me ;)).

Why do we have School?                   Sometimes I wonder why do we even have school?
You sit in a crowded classroom for atleast six hours
a day, staring at the clock going around and around..
and yet it feels like being locked up for ages.
You're forced to go to school because of a lazy ass
American government that isn't even doing it's job
currently...and yet they expect you to try to do the
best of you're capability. Kids need role models,
and yet all of our schools in general are basically
                   not up to par.
With every school there comes one major problem,
bullying. Kids get picked on for the most obvious
or stupidest flaws these days..so why do we have
school? It only does more harm then help. But you
can help solve the problem by sticking
Shy Kid Poem                       Shy Kid Poem
Ever wonder about that one shy kid in your class?
They mute their thoughts from being spoken in public
but in reality they just want someone to understand them,
someone who can relate to their problems and struggles.

Well chances are that shy kid has a low level of confiedence.
They walk in the hallways alone or with a very few amount of friends,
their heads are down like it's hopeless looking for someone they can trust
    with their heart and soul.
Or perhasps it's just that they believe they are always isolated from society.
Shy people are usually known just to get the task done, but we're
more than just a bunch of pe
The Figure in the Shadows                      I'm basically just the figure in the shadows,
when I try to talk to new people they look
                      clueless..almost like I'm a ghost. When I
try to talk to my friends it's almost as if
they have their own circle, but of course
                      sometimes excludes me. Sometimes I
                      regret being so shy..

Whenever I'm in the classroom,I rar
